About BATTLE HORSE
With a decade of experience in a niche field, Battle Horse Ltd specialises in saddlery and leatherwork for the film and TV industry and has produced work for over 40 large feature films including Gladiator II, Napoleon, Rings of Power and The Witcher. See full list in here.

The company was founded in 2021 by multi-skilled craftswoman and fully qualified saddler Shelley Musker Turner, who has a passion for historic saddlery and designing and creating pretty much anything you can think of out of leather! Shelley has worked at HOD level, managing the industry's first ever Saddlery Department on Ridley Scott's Gladiator II, where she recruited a team of saddlers, leatherworkers, breakdown artists and drapes persons as well as outsourcing work to a network of companies and creatives across the UK.

Design & Concept
When designing horse dressing, it's crucial to have a good understanding of saddlery and it's construction to ensure the designs are safe, practical and achievable. As this is our field of expertise, we feel it's important to offer research, design and concept art as part of the package, to make the process from design to production as efficient as possible.
Fully Equipped Workshop
With a fully equipped workshop, including top of the range machinery, tools and equipment, Battle Horse has the capacity to work on projects remotely or relocated to film studios in the UK and overseas.
Prototyping & Producing
Whether it's making a perfect replica of a leather prop, working from a concept or reference or creating an original design from scratch, at Battle Horse we have the experience and attention to detail necessary to produce work to a high level and in challenging timeframes.
